Inspirations: Jo's First Skirt (from Blissed Out)

Jo from Blissed Out just made her first skirt, and I wanted to share it with my fellow new sewers. This pattern is from the book Sew Everything Workshop by Diana Rupp, which I have and use often for basic sewing techniques, but I haven't quite dared to dive into any of the clothing projects yet. But I might have to now, because Jo (who says she is just learning to sew) made the wrap skirt from the book, and look how great it turned out:

Yes, those are doilies that she added, great touch! Embellishments are key. This skirt is totally stylin' and very flattering too. Hope this encourages you to try making your own skirts, I know I'm inspired.

I love this skirt! I found a pattern for a wrap skirt at a thrift store the other day...i may (try to) whip it up for my cousin's birthday.
